Draymond Green Doubles Down: Doncic and Tatum Will Never Win an MVP
Speaking after the Warriors' opener against the Lakers, Golden State's forward stood firmly behind his belief that two of the league's premier stars are shut out of the award.
Draymond Green has sparked a fierce debate around the league's top individual honor, insisting that neither Luka Doncic nor Jayson Tatum will ever take home a regular-season MVP award in their careers.
Green doubled down on his controversial stance following the season opener between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers, as reported by BasketNews. Speaking to Sam Amick of The Athletic at his locker after the contest, the veteran forward reiterated that Doncic cannot alter that trajectory.
"Nah, I don't think there's anything that he can do [to win it]," Green said, shaking his head. "And by the way, it's not a knock on him. I don't think there is anything that he can [do]."
