Sixers' VJ Edgecombe on LeBron James: 'He's Exactly Old Enough to Be My Dad'
Born in 2005, the Philadelphia rookie reflects on sharing an NBA court with a star whose career predates his birth.
Philadelphia 76ers newcomer VJ Edgecombe recently offered a sharp reminder of LeBron James' unprecedented staying power in the NBA.
Reflecting on sharing the floor with the veteran superstar, Edgecombe framed the generational divide in stark personal terms, remarking that James is "exactly old enough to be my dad, which is crazy," as reported by Yahoo Sports NBA.
The timeline behind the comment is absolute: James had already completed his second full NBA season before Edgecombe was born in 2005. Decades into his professional career, James is now sharing the league with an incoming class of players who were not yet alive when his career started.
