Carmelo Anthony Blasts Pablo Torre Over LeBron James Helicopter Inquiry

Speaking on his podcast, Anthony defended James and challenged the reporter to identify which NBA owners pushed for an investigation into travel perks.

Carmelo Anthony has pushed back forcefully against journalist Pablo Torre over reported plans to investigate LeBron James receiving complimentary helicopter services connected to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Speaking on his 7 PM in Brooklyn podcast, as reported by BasketNews, the retired NBA star defended James and challenged Torre to name the specific franchise owners who prompted him to look into the matter.

Anthony dismissed the scrutiny over the travel arrangements, pointing out the demanding schedule involved in making such trips.

"To me, then, y'all [guys] are taking that serious, too," Anthony said. "I'm taking a chopper and getting from New York to Philly at 6:00, 6:30 in the morning. You [guys] ain't even up yet." Anthony then directed his frustration directly at Torre, questioning why the perk has become the target of an investigation.
