Pelicans demand two first-round picks for Herb Jones in trade talks
Despite a diminished role early this season, New Orleans is reportedly holding firm on a steep valuation for the forward amid past interest from rivals.
The New Orleans Pelicans are standing firm on their steep trade demands for Herbert Jones, holding out for a premium return despite changes to his playing time early in the 2026-27 campaign.
According to reporting by Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints on Clutch Scoops, via BasketNews, New Orleans continues to value Jones at two first-round picks. The franchise has reportedly not dropped that asking price even though the defensive standout opened the season in a significantly reduced role.
Jones has previously drawn interest from multiple Western Conference contenders. Siegel noted that the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Oklahoma City Thunder were among the teams linked to the forward ahead of the trade deadline last February.
