The incoming majority ownership group set to acquire the Los Angeles Lakers envisions a massive surge in the franchise's worth, projecting the team's valuation could climb between $30 billion and $60 billion over the next decade.

According to an investor presentation reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Joshua Kushner's venture firm, Thrive Capital, has been circulating the ambitious financial projections to prospective backers to outline the organization's growth potential.

Kushner and former Disney chief executive Bob Iger led the investment group that agreed last month to buy the Lakers from Mark Walter at a $12.5 billion valuation. The new forecasts indicate incoming leadership expects the iconic NBA franchise to significantly expand its commercial footprint and multiply in value over the next 10 years.
