The former Lakers guard will enter a plea in December over an alleged gambling and bribery scheme tied to his time with the Bucks.
Former Los Angeles Lakers guard Malik Beasley will plead guilty to federal charges in connection with an NBA betting and bribery scheme, according to an ESPN report cited by BasketNews.
Beasley's attorney, Steve Haney, confirmed that the player is scheduled to enter a guilty plea with the Department of Justice on Dec. 9.
Federal prosecutors allege that Beasley took part in an illicit betting operation that focused on his own on-court play during the 2023-24 season, with the alleged activity involving Milwaukee Bucks games.
