Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors are closing in on a contract extension to secure his long-term future in Toronto, according to RealGM Wiretap. The talks follow his trade from the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week.
An agreement had long been anticipated for this offseason. Under league rules, Leonard is eligible to sign a deal worth up to $126 million across two seasons, which would run in addition to his $50.3 million salary for the 2026-27 season.
Leonard is coming off an All-NBA campaign in 2025-26, during which he averaged 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
