JJ Redick Deflects Bronny James Criticism Onto Lakers Teammates
The Los Angeles head coach drew immediate scrutiny after using the rest of the roster to excuse the rookie's preseason struggles.
Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has sparked controversy after deflecting criticism of Bronny James' preseason difficulties onto the rest of the team.
According to reporting from Yahoo Sports NBA, Redick offered an eyebrow-raising defense for the rookie's on-court struggles, opting to shift the blame toward other Lakers players rather than focusing on James' individual execution.
The rookie guard has faced scrutiny throughout exhibition play, but Redick's willingness to point fingers at the supporting cast has shifted the spotlight onto how the new head coach is managing accountability across the roster.
