Lakers Inquired About Timberwolves Big Man Naz Reid
Los Angeles explored a trade for Minnesota's standout reserve as part of an effort to add offensive frontcourt depth.
The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly surveyed the trade market for frontcourt reinforcements, making an early inquiry into Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid.
According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, reported via BasketNews, Los Angeles contacted Minnesota to gauge the availability of the versatile reserve. The Lakers entered the offseason with an eye toward adding an offensive-minded power forward to bolster their depth.
Despite the initial interest in Reid, Woike noted that Los Angeles never advanced talks to the point of submitting what would be considered a serious trade offer to their Western Conference rivals.
