Shaquille O'Neal joins Zalgiris Kaunas fan ritual before EuroLeague clash
The NBA Hall of Famer arrived alongside Arvydas Sabonis, met fellow NBA stars, and jumped with the Lithuanian crowd before tipoff against Olympiacos.
Shaquille O'Neal fully leaned into European basketball culture during a visit to Lithuania, taking part in Zalgiris Kaunas' pregame fan routine ahead of their EuroLeague Round 2 matchup against Olympiacos Piraeus.
As reported by BasketNews, the NBA legend arrived at the arena alongside Lithuanian basketball icon Arvydas Sabonis to a loud reception from the home supporters.
Before tipoff, O'Neal greeted former NBA players Jonas Valanciunas and Evan Fournier on the floor and received a symbolic team jersey presented by Zalgiris club president Paulius Jankunas.
O'Neal then capped off his pregame appearance by joining the arena crowd in their traditional ritual, locking arms to hug and jump together just before the action got underway.
