Nikola Jokic Calls Out Booing Denver Fans After Overtime Win

The Nuggets overcame a 23-point deficit to edge New Orleans in their home opener, but Denver's star had no patience for spectators who turned on the team early.

Nikola Jokic made his feelings clear to home supporters who booed the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, bluntly telling fans they are no longer welcome if they are unwilling to stand behind the team through difficult stretches.

According to TalkBasket, the tension flared during Denver's home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans at Ball Arena. The Nuggets struggled heavily out of the gate, falling behind by as many as 23 points. With Denver trailing 45-26 during the second quarter, frustrated spectators inside the arena began showering the court with boos.

The Nuggets eventually turned the game around, battling back to secure a 141-135 victory in overtime. Despite the comeback win, Jokic did not gloss over the early reception, calling out the fans who opted to jeer rather than support.
