The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially re-signed guard James Harden to a three-year, $97 million contract, according to RealGM Wiretap.
Harden delayed finalizing the agreement while awaiting LeBron James' decision in free agency, as well as the Cavaliers' completion of a sign-and-trade move to acquire Peyton Watson.
Harden joined Cleveland via a February trade from the Los Angeles Clippers last season. Across 70 total appearances—all starts—split between 44 games for Los Angeles and 26 for Cleveland, he posted 23.6 points and 8.0 assists per game, which ranked fourth in the league.
