Simmons recently joined the team on a short-term deal, but he is open to staying put beyond the upcoming season if the pairing proves successful. The reporting comes via BasketNews, which cited ESPN's Marc J. Spears during an appearance on The Carmichael Show with Jason Ross on Sactown Sports.
According to Spears, Simmons is willing to commit to the Kings past his initial contract should their on-court partnership produce positive results.
